For many homeowners & businesses, a ductless mini-split A/C system is the best option for an area where ductwork cannot be installed. Some homes enjoy the added cooling of a mini-split to help add more cooling during parties or hot summers. Mini split systems are energy-efficient and do not require ductwork. Mini-split A/C systems work just like a central system with more technology packed inside, but do not require the ductwork of a conventional central system. Unlike what many people think, mini split systems are comprised of an indoor and outdoor unit similar to a central system. The indoor blower section is mounted indoors and a condensing unit is installed on the exterior. The two sections are connected with refrigerant piping and electrical wiring. The system also requires a drain line which extends from the indoor unit and drains the condensation to the exterior of the property. These systems have multiple electronic circuit boards and we recommend surge protection and regular scheduled maintenance to keep things running properly.
